This set of jigs was recorded by fiddler and vocalist John McGettigan's band in 1937 for the Bluebird label (B-4503). A Donegal native, McGettigan emigrated to the United States in 1907, settling in Philadelphia. According to Spottswood's Ethnic Music on Record, musicians on this recording included Alfred Baldassari (fiddle), Dan Marquette (accordion), George Tracy (piano), and Jimmy McDade (guitar).
