WIMA staff provide reference services during appointments at our repository. Assistance using our finding aids and database is given, as well as general information and consultancy on our collections. Staff may guide patrons to useful collections not held by WIMA to better serve our patrons' needs.
Remote Reference Services
Limited and basic reference service of WIMA collections and finding aids is available via phone, mail, and e-mail, although please note that our on-site patrons remain our first priority. Mail and e-mail requests will be processed within 10 business days, and extensive research inquiries conducted by WIMA staff are limited to staff availability and may be charged a research fee. Please contact us for further information.
Although WIMA’s materials are available for reference and use within our facilities, U.S. Copyright Law regulates commercial use, duplication, and public use of our materials. It is the patron’s responsibility to secure copyright permission for non-educational uses, and Archives staff cannot undertake searches about the copyright status of holdings beyond normal reference services or advise patrons on the application of copyright law.
