The Scattering at the 2000 Milwaukee Irish Fest

The Scattering brings together many of each Milwaukee Irish Fest's performers for a finale to the year. The tradition began in 1995 and continues to the present. 2000's festival included an amazing collection of talent including Joanie Madden, Matt Cranitch, Seán Smyth, Laoise Kelly, Tommy Sullivan, Donal Murphy, Sean McGuire, Joe Burke, Mary Rafferty, members of La Bottine Souriante, Máire Ní Chathasaigh, Mick Moloney, and many more. Half the fun of watching footage of past Scatterings is naming the musicians! 

Here's the first set of reels from that Scattering - The Silver Spear and The Foxhunter's, kicked off by Joanie Madden. This was recorded on Hi8 tape by Dave Sargeant for WIMA.
