Joe Flanagan and Mike Andrews: The Half Crown Song

Accordion player and singer Joe Flanagan (of The Flanagan Brothers fame) recorded this comic song with tenor guitar accompaniment provided by Michael "Whitey" Andrews in 1933. The pair start of with a lively version of "The Teetotaler's Reel" before segueing into the song.

This was Flanagan's final recording, and this particular pressing was released on the Vocalion label (84168). Andrews was performing regularly in the dance halls of New York at time and recorded with Michael Coleman and Paddy Killoran.
