This week's 78rpm disc is from piccolo player P. J. McNamara, of McNamara's Band and trio fame. The first tune in the set is often called the Croppies' March, and the second seems to be a version of Tralee Gaol. Throughout both the melody is doubled by pianist Ed Geoghegan.
Recorded in the early 1920s and released on the Columbia label (33074-F). From the Ted McGraw Collection, McGraw 78 00-898.
